Pull-apart Christmas tree

Well, we all love Christmas and apart from family and friends gathering, we also love all recipes that come attached.

This is another simple recipe you can bake for Christmas starters and surely children will love it too: Pull-apart Christmas tree.

A fun and tasty recipe. (by delish.com)

Ingredients: 450gr refrigerated pizza dough (home made or bought); Egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tbsp water); 7 mozzarella sticks; 1/4 c. melted butter; 1/2 c. finely grated Parmesan cheese; 1 tbsp. thinly sliced basil; 1 tbsp. chopped parsley; 1 tbsp. chopped rosemary; Marinara*, warmed (for serving)

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fº (230º C) Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut mozzarella sticks into 1” (2,54cm) pieces. On a floured surface, divide pizza dough into two pieces. Stretch and roll each piece of dough into a long rectangle, then cut dough into 2” (5,08cm) squares (you’ll need 33 total). Wrap a dough square around each pieces of mozzarella, forming a tightly sealed ball. Place balls seam-side down on the baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree (they should be touching). Brush egg wash on dough balls and bake until golden 15-20 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, whisk together melted butter, Parmesan and herbs. Brush on baked pizza dough balls. Serve warm with marinara* for dipping.
Everyone will love this Christmas tree!

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon olive oil; 3 cloves garlic peeled and smashed; 30gr high-quality tomato sauce; ½ teaspoon dried basil; ½ teaspoon dried oregano; ¼ teaspoon salt

How to make it:

  1. Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add garlic cloves and sauté until browned, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove garlic and discard.
  2. Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano, and salt. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until flavors have blended, about 10 minutes. Keep warm over low-heat until serving time, or cool completely and store covered in the refrigerator

And that’s it.

Set the table.

Enjoy and… Ho. Ho. Ho… 🙂
